The Seattle Kraken
In 2021 the NHL approached Hotopp Creative Studios with an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind experience for the brand new NHL hockey team, The Seattle Kraken. The event would take place in Seattle on July 21st, 2021, and would be both a televised event as well as an in-person experience. The event needed to be authentically Seattle in theme to help welcome the new team to the city.

Over that time we have helped Gaylord Convention Centers realize their vision of building a signature holiday experience. Along the way, we have collaborated with more than a dozen brands to realize their worlds and their characters in 6,000 pounds of frozen fun.
When the National Hockey League approached us during the initial planning stages for their Return To Play we faced one of our most challenging design & production feats to date. While no major League had returned to play, we knew that this problem would be solved in a variety of different ways in the months ahead. Our goal was to produce the best answer for the National Hockey League. Hotopp has supported Sea World on a wide range of projects over the years. This includes everything from Concept Development, Show Set Design, Holiday décor, and Production Design for their night time spectacular “Electric Ocean”.
When the existing studios had all aged out at once we helped NBC Sports roll out a four studio multi-year complete refresh through close a close working partnership. Alongside their internal production staff we systematically reinvented four studio spaces to host a wide variety of content and coverage.
Hotopp designed an exhibit environment for 28 of Diana’s iconic dresses including her iconic wedding gown. The exhibition has been admired by thousands of people around the world.
